THE OPPORTUNITY:

Harford Mutual is seeking a Multimedia Specialist to support the Marketing team. As a member of Multi-Media, executes and measures digital promotions, specifically in the video, photography, and social media arenas. The multimedia specialist works in close collaboration with the Chief Marketing Officer as well as the Marketing Communications Specialists and graphic designer to produce digital creative assets that support the corporate brand, drive sales, celebrate our community support, educate our insureds, and inform our employees.

LOCATION:

Hybrid (Bel Air, MD Office)

WHAT YOUโ€™LL DO:

  • Brainstorm and collaborate with the marketing team in creating multi-layered communication campaigns to elevate corporate messaging across internal and external platforms.
  • Design alongside department graphic designer to develop eye-catching motion graphics (video, infographics, imagery) to share on social media channels.
  • Create, shoot, and edit promotional and training videos for employees, external audiences, marketing representatives, and agents.
  • Collaborate with and manage external vendors to support evolving company needs by vetting companies and directing the creation of high-quality creative solutions, including voiceover, motion graphics, and other multimedia communication assets.
  • Capture live audio/video and photography at corporate events and meetings.
  • Develop compelling scripts for video and motion graphic storytelling to communicate complex business news and information with clarity and creativity.
  • Stay abreast of emerging video technologies and provide technical, strategic guidance to the marketing communications team in these areas.
  • Serve as one of the company's professional photographers and conduct photo shoots throughout the year to expand the creative asset library.
  • Provide video expertise in the areas of audio, lighting, technology, best practices, and creative execution.
  • Performs other duties or special projects as required or assigned by a supervisor.

WHAT YOUโ€™LL BRING:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in fine arts, broadcast journalism, photography, cinematography or other related fields
  • 3 โ€“ 5 years of hands-on experience in digital media, including video production and photography; Insurance industry experience is a plus
  • Proficient to Expert User with entire Microsoft Office Suite, in the use of manual, mirrorless cameras for photography and video, and incorporating videos/gifs in a Constant Contact design
  • Adobe Certified Professional in โ€œDigital Video Using Adobe Premiereโ€ and/or โ€œVisual Effects and Motion Graphics Using Adobe After Effectsโ€ a plus
  • A strong portfolio, highlighting work in visual, interactive motion, design, and photography
  • Must be willing to travel occasionally to offsite locations for shoots and other events
