Title:Mine OperatorDepartment:Wet Concentrator (WCP)Location:Stony Creek, VirginiaDirect Supervisor:Team LeaderSite(s):☐ Stony Creek Mineral Separation Plant ☒ Concord Mine and ConcentratorDirect Reports or Assets:☒ None ☐ Other (Specified Below)Main Purpose of the Position:Operates mobile mining unit, concentrator, screening and de-sliming circuit and thickeners in a safe and efficient manner to maximize recoveries.Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to the following):Operate the concord concentrator plant via PLC control room within set parameters with continuous monitoring of systems during shiftInspect all plant Equipment during shift to ensure there are no mechanical or operational Responsible for cleaning spirals to remove any buildup of clay and monitor flow on all Collect and Deliver samples during shifts to ensure quality control. Monitor Pond levels to maintain proper pond balance.Operate Various types of mobile equipment forklift, skid steer, Rubber tire loader.Perform cleanup of any spills or trash in or around the plant.Assist with any maintenance necessary to ensure plant availabilitySkills/QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED.High school diploma or GEDActive Drivers License, with satisfactory driving recordPrevious production/plant work experiencePrior mobile equipment operationAbility to work 12-hour shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, hot ,cold, dirty, wet conditions.Previous mechanical work experienceExperience following safety standardsPhysical Stamina: The ability to perform physical tasks, as the work may involve manual labor, operating machinery, and working in various weather conditions.Attention to Detail: Strong observational skills to monitor operations and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and process issues.Teamwork and Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues and communicate findings or issueSPECIAL FEATURES OF THE JOBRequired to work with minimum supervision/guidance requiring a strong self-motivator Small Company.
