Description
The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and improving mechanical systems for modular conveyor systems used throughout the corrugated paper and box industry. This role supports the full design lifecycle-from concept through fabrication and assembly-by creating detailed engineering drawings, bills of materials, and production documentation while collaborating closely with manufacturing and fabrication teams.
This position is ideal for mechanical engineers with machine design experience who enjoy designing custom equipment, supporting manufacturing, and working in a hands-on industrial environment.
Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • 5-8 years of mechanical system design experience.
  • Experience with:
    • AutoCAD
    • Autodesk Inventor
    • Vault
    • Similar 3D CAD modeling software
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read and interpret:
    • Blueprints
    • Electrical schematics
    • Mechanical drawings
  • Experience creating technical drawings for manufacturing.
  • Experience preparing Bills of Materials (BOMs), Pick Lists, and production release documentation.
  • Familiarity with engineering standards and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical system issues.
  • Experience using analog and digital multimeters.
