Job description

Senior Software Engineer — Founding Team

Location: New York City (in-office, 5 days/week) Type: Full-time Experience: 4–8 years Visa sponsorship: H-1B, TN, and F-1 (OPT)

The opportunity

We're hiring engineer #3–5 at a seed-stage company building the AI coordination layer for home-based care — a $450B+ market projected to double over the next decade.

The home care system today is fundamentally broken. Coordination between nurses, patients, and agencies still runs on sticky notes, legacy databases, and late-night phone calls. Nearly 50% of scheduled appointments fail to happen. Caregivers churn at 65% annually. Families wait weeks for help.

This company's AI agents plug directly into EHR systems and communication channels (voice, text, and email) to automate the full scheduling and coordination workflow — and the results speak for themselves: 72% less manual outreach and 30% lower coordination costs for providers, with a 4-week deployment timeline.

Backed by Flare Capital Partners and Daybreak VC, the company is seed-stage with a Series A imminent and already live with paying customers.

What you'll be doing
  • Owning large projects from 0 to 1: building core infrastructure and integrations with EHR systems, HR platforms, and communications tools
  • Building agentic AI workflows for real-time nurse coordination, including memory-based scheduling, geographic matching, and compliance verification
  • Developing AI voice infrastructure and telephony systems, moving critical functions in-house for scalability
  • Working directly with the CEO and interim CTO to shape both the product and engineering culture from the ground up

The product

The platform includes three core capabilities:

Chaser Agent — proactively manages nurse scheduling, handles callouts, tracks clock-ins, and ensures the right caregiver arrives at the right patient's home at the right time.

Memory & Context — remembers nurse availability, credentials, geographic proximity, and personal constraints, automatically factoring them into scheduling decisions.

Verification & Compliance — provides check-in confirmation, care quality grading, and a system of record that follows caregivers throughout their careers.

Tech stack

React, Next.js, Express, PostgreSQL, LLMs, Voice AI, Telephony

Who you are
  • 4–8 years of full-stack engineering experience
  • Comfortable owning projects end-to-end with minimal direction
  • Excited by agentic AI, voice systems, and complex integrations
  • Thrives in a fast-moving, in-person, founder-led environment

The team
  • Low ego, high intensity — thoughtful builders who value curiosity, kindness, and ownership over bravado
  • Founder-led — work shoulder-to-shoulder with the CEO and CTO; join real customer calls, pitches, and rollouts
  • In-person, outcome-driven — 5 days/week in the NYC office; no weekends
  • Tight-knit and energised — small, fast, and mission-obsessed with weekly team lunches and outsized impact per person

Benefits
  • Full medical, dental, and vision insurance + One Medical membership
  • Unlimited paid time off
  • 0.2–0.5% founding equity
  • Weekly team lunches from top NYC restaurants
  • Team off-sites
  • Visa sponsorship: H-1B, TN, and F-1 (OPT)
