Primary Function
Wor-Wic Community College continuously accepts applications for part-time mathematics tutors to provide individual and small group tutoring for various courses from pre-algebra to calculus.
Essential Duties

- Facilitating learning guides to assist students in becoming successful and independent learners
- Increasing and enhancing the mastery of concepts or applications of a specific course of study
- Integrating effective studying and learning strategies to maximize the tutee's potential for academic progress
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics or relevant field
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to relate to people from varying educational, cultural and social backgrounds
- A high level of responsibility, reliability and punctuality
- The ability to follow directions
- The ability to work independently
- Preference will be given to candidates with a background in higher level mathematic classes, including precalculus, statistics and calculus
