Location: Roosevelt Middle School
Reports To:ย Building Principal
FLSA Status:Exempt
Salary Range: $47,000- $61,750

Summary:ย To help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able and responsible adults.ย 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:



  1. Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated
  2. Plan a program of study thatย as much as possible, meets the individual needs, interest and abilities of students.
  3. Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of the students.
  4. Prepare for classes assigned and show written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate supervisor.
  5. Encourage students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior.
  6. Guide the learning proves toward the achievement of curriculum goals and in harmony with the goals establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects and the like to communicate these objectives to students.ย 

Qualifications:ย To perform this job successfully the ideal candidate must have the following: Illinois Professional Educator License with the appropriate endorsement (s) and minimum of Bachelor's degree with from accredited College/ University.ย

Evaluation: Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board of Education policies of Evaluation of certified personnel.ย 
Hours:ย Monday- Friday 7:25 a.m. - 2:25 p.m.ย  ย  ย  ย  ย
