  • Complete and manage Louisiana state forms (1009s and 1010s) with full supporting documentation
  • Track deadlines and ensure compliance with Louisiana Workers' Compensation guidelines and timelines
  • Investigate and appeal denied or modified treatment requests, collaborating with physicians when needed
  • Communicate treatment recommendations and medical necessity to insurance carriers
  • Serve as a liaison between physicians, insurance adjusters, attorneys, and patients
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all case activity
  • Coordinate approved care, including referrals and follow-up with outside providers
  • Obtain missing medical records and verify patient account setup
  • Act as a point of contact for patients regarding workers' compensation processes
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on WC-related procedures
  • Stay up to date on Louisiana WC regulations and changes

What You Bring
  • Previous experience with workers' compensation cases (Louisiana experience strongly preferred)
  • Knowledge of LAWC, Maritime, Jones Act, Longshoreman, and Department of Labor WC processes
  • Familiarity with CPT codes and medical terminology
  • Strong understanding of authorization, documentation, and appeals processes
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to manage a high volume of cases with accuracy and efficiency

Benefits
  • Competitive pay (based on experience)
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Opportunities for growth and advancement
  • Stable Monday-Friday schedule (no weekends)

REQUIREMENTS
  • Previous Workers' Compensation experience, preferably in Louisiana healthcare or medical practice settings.
  • Hands-on experience submitting and managing Louisiana Workers' Compensation authorizations, including Forms 1009 and 1010.
  • Experience handling denied or modified treatment requests and completing appeals.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT codes, and treatment authorization processes.
  • Ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload while meeting strict deadlines.
