Otis Elevator Company is searching for a driver to join our team in Ottawa.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Deliveries: Operate vehicles (vans, pick-up truck + trailer) to deliver material, parts, and documents to multiples locations.

  • Loading/Unloading: Manually load and unload goods, often requiring lifting, bending, and carrying items, as well as operating forklift as needed.

  • Route Planning: Use GPS, maps, and knowledge of the area to optimize routes and meet schedules.

  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safety and report maintenance issues.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate delivery logs.

  • Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients, employees, and suppliers

Qualifications:

  • High school education or equivalent required

  • License: Valid driver's license (G) with a clean driving record.

  • Experience using a forklift is a plus.

  • Experience: Proven experience as a driver, often requiring familiarity with local routes.

  • Physical Strength: Ability to handle, lift, and carry heavy items (e.g., 50+ lbs).

  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.

  • Technical Skills: Ability to use smartphones, laptops, and GPS technology.

  • Availability: Regular working hours: 7:00AM to 4:00PM - Willingness to work early hours on weekdays and weekends as needed (not often)

The range for this role is $50,000 to $60,000. Pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
