Your Key Responsibilities- Electrical Software Design Engineer in the Schaeffler Special Machinery (SMB) Department in Wooster, Ohio.
- Contribute to Schaeffler's success in an ever-changing market by developing and commissioning control software for manufacturing automation processes.
- Cooperate with engineers or professionals of other disciplines to coordinate software interfaces.
- Develop control software and design embedded systems for technical realization of projects.
- Software development in the fields of Siemens Totally Integrated Automation (TIA) Portal & Step7, Fanuc Robots, Machine Vision Systems, C+, C#, Microsoft Office, etc.
- Hardware integrationwith Siemens 1500 series Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), servo drive systems, industrial networking (Profinet, Profibus, Ethernet, etc.), proportional–integral–derivative (PID) controls, power distribution systems, etc.
- Travel to various sites for customer service support, up to 50% travel requirements depending on needs.
