Job Summary

An Individual Contributor and Senior Technical Project Authority who leads complex, cross-functional product development initiatives across multiple product lines. Directs strategic planning, resource alignment, architecture and delivery coordination, and establishes governance for quality execution. Partners with Product, Engineering, Architecture, Quality, Operations, and vendors to manage dependencies, mitigate risk, and deliver business outcomes within schedule and budget commitments.

Core Responsibilities
  • Facilitate technical program execution and stakeholder communication, providing clear status, decisions, tradeoffs, and forecasts while sharing accountability for outcomes delivered on time and within budget.
  • Identify critical-path constraints, delivery risks, defects, and unresolved decisions; lead mitigation planning, bug triage, escalation, and issue resolution with engineering leads and external partners.
  • Orchestrate cross-departmental collaboration across engineering, product, architecture, quality, operations, and security for the testing, certification, implementation, and operational readiness of new solutions.
  • Create and maintain integrated end-to-end project plans covering scope, milestones, dependencies, resources, vendor commitments, change requests, and delivery dates; adjust sequencing to maintain momentum.
  • Direct strategic planning and resource alignment for major engineering initiatives, balancing priorities, capacity, sequencing, and investment while maintaining alignment with business and product roadmaps.
  • Lead cross-functional product development initiatives that design and implement complex engineering solutions across multiple product lines, translating organizational objectives into executable programs.
  • Develop and manage strategic relationships with software vendors, equipment manufacturers, and delivery partners to strengthen engineering capabilities and resolve complex cross-organizational dependencies.
  • Define product requirements and evaluation criteria for engineering solutions, ensuring selected capabilities align with product strategy, architecture standards, security expectations, and long-term roadmap objectives.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance.
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.

Compensation

Illinois Pay Range: $152,828.79 - $229,243.19. Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. The application window is 30 days from the date job is posted, unless the number of applicants requires it to close sooner or later. Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
