Your role as a Machine Operator
Key responsibilities:
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining layer pick material handling equipment to ensure efficient product flow within the warehouse. This role includes troubleshooting minor equipment issues, monitoring system performance, and supporting safe, accurate, and timely operations in a fast-paced environment.
Duties / Responsibilities
  • Operate layer pick equipment for stacking and destacking processes
  • Monitor product flow to and from automated systems to maintain throughput
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical or operational issues
  • Escalate complex equipment or system issues to supervisors or maintenance
  • Report product damage, system errors, and data discrepancies
  • Maintain compliance with all safety policies, including OSHA standards
  • Ensure work area is clean, organized, and free of hazards
  • Understand equipment sensors and system functionality
  • Assist with other warehouse duties as needed
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
  • Identify and report opportunities for process improvement

Required Skills / Abilities
  • Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and material handling systems
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to follow procedures and safety guidelines consistently
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods

  • Must be in good physical condition to perform essential job functions
