Job description

What We’re Looking For:

We have an exciting opportunity to join a fun, employee-focused environment with a growing manufacturing company. The Centerless Grinder will be responsible for setting up and operating one or more centerless grinding machines to grind external cylindrical or tapered surfaces of rotating metal, aluminum, plastic workpieces to blueprint specifications, following instructions and applying knowledge of grinding procedures. Responsibilities range from reading blueprints and job orders for product specifications to setting up, testing and operating grinding machines.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful:

  • A vocational education or apprenticeship in an industrial environment
  • Prior manufacturing work experience
  • Experience using a manual micrometer
  • Obtains basic math and mechanical aptitudes
  • High standards of dependability, quality and service
  • And most importantly, enjoys coming to work, being part of a team, and getting “stuff” done

What You Can Expect (The Day to Day):

  • Manufacturing quality parts in a timely manner, inspecting and measuring to ensure quality and completeness
  • Identify and report on problems, looking for solutions and seeking continuous improvements in procedures
  • Reading blueprints and job orders to understand product specifications
  • Accurately completing paperwork

First Shift 6:00am to 2:45pm Monday through Friday
