PAY RATE: $25.00 – $34.00 / hour (Based on experience) + Overtime Available 

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Year-Round

JOB TITLE: Skilled Construction Laborer / Working Foreman

ABOUT US: 

Overton Renovation Solutions, Inc. is a local general contractor delivering high-quality commercial and residential renovations across Central Illinois. We take pride in clean execution, professional site management, and durable craftsmanship. We are seeking an experienced Skilled Laborer or Working Foreman to join our crew, run daily site tasks, and help us deliver top-tier projects.


CORE TRADE SKILLS DESIRED:

  • Framing & Carpentry: Rough framing, exterior structure prep, trim installation, door/hardware placement, cabinetry.
  • Tile & Substrate Prep: Underlayment installation, membrane systems (Schluter/Mapei), layout, setting, and grouting.
  • Drywall & Surface Finishing: Boarding, taping/mudding, patch repairs, surface preparation, light masonry/tuckpointing.
  • Site Management & Assembly: Dropped grid ceilings, interior commercial fixtures, exterior siding, and demolition/prep.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute hands-on trade work accurately according to project scope, blueprints, and quality standards.
  • Operate trade tools safely and maintain job site safety, cleanliness, and material organization.
  • Track daily task progress, audit material inventory on site, and report status directly to management.
  • Direct subcontractors, delivery drivers, and secondary site labor when stepping into the foreman role.
  • Maintain clear communication with project owners and maintain a professional presence on client sites.


QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years of verifiable experience in residential or commercial remodeling/general contracting.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean record and reliable personal transportation to local job sites.
  • Company Tools Provided: All trade tools and equipment are provided by the company.
  • Ability to lift 75+ lbs, climb scaffolding/ladders, and work full 8-10 hour shifts.


COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • $25.00 – $34.00/hr starting pay rate (commensurate with skills & leadership test).
  • Full-time hours (40+ hrs/wk) with steady, year-round local work (no long-distance travel).
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) + Paid Company Holidays.
  • Project completion performance bonuses.
