Position Overview

As anXL Non-CDL Cargo CDV Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in the efficient and timely delivery of oversized packages and goods; with the potential for install/assembly as well as scheduled return pickups. You will navigate through designated routes to ensure that Amazon's commitment to exceptional customer service is upheld. This position demands a high level ofresponsibility, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

Our Cargo CDV Driversoperate out of HRD2 Amazon Delivery Station (805 S Briggs Ave, Durham, NC 27703)

-Shifts are available 7 days a week

-10 Hour Shifts (One weekend day required)

-Shift starts at 9:45am

-$21.00/ Hour

Responsibilities

Safe Driving and Vehicle Maintenance:

  • Safely operate an extra-large delivery vehicle to transport oversized packages to their designated locations.

  • Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and Amazon's safety protocols.

  • Maintain metrics related to attendance, performance, and safety.

  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.

Package Handling and Customer Interaction:

  • Handle oversized packages with care, ensuring they are securely loaded and unloaded from the delivery vehicle.

  • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing customer inquiries and concerns professionally.

  • Represent Tactical Distribution Management LLC with a positive and customer-centric attitude.

Technology Utilization:

  • Effectively use Amazon's delivery technology, mobile apps, and handheld devices for tracking deliveries and updating delivery statuses.

  • Report any technology-related issues promptly.

Qualifications
  • Eligible to work in the U.S.

  • Have a valid North Carolina Driver's License -Commercial Driver's License Not Required (NON-CDL)

  • At least 21 years of age

  • Proven experience as a delivery driver, in oversized or heavy-load transportation, preferred

  • Have a clean motor vehicle report (multiple violations can disqualify you from the position)

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to use navigation GPS tools without aid

  • Ability to operate a smartphone without aid

Physicality:

  • Physical fitness to handle heavy and oversized packages

  • Push/Pull large parcels70lbs or more using dollies and other specialized equipment weighing

  • Ability to walk a brisk 15-minute mile

  • Ability to lift packages and bundles weighing up to 70lbs multiple times during a route

  • Ability to climb stairs on a regular basis

  • Must be comfortable driving and working in varying weather conditions
