PURPOSE: We are seeking a proactive and experienced Building Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our Facility during the weekend shift. This role is critical in ensuring smooth facility operations, maintaining process control, and leading a team engaged in light assembly work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process supervision, safety management, and digital integration within an industrial environment. This position requires a hands-on leader who can balance operational efficiency, quality control, and team development while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Facility Supervision & Process Control:
  • Lead daily operations of the paint and phosphate facility, ensuring processes run efficiently with minimal downtime
  • Ensure proper process controls for the application of coatings and phosphate treatments, adhering to internal, industry and quality standards
  • Supervise a team engaged in light assembly work, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on facility equipment, troubleshooting any process-related issues.
  • Leverage digital tools for monitoring and improving process efficiency, equipment performance, and production tracking.
  • Follow and achieve schedule, clock and claim per internal instructions .
Health & Safety Management:
  • Ensure full compliance with OSHA, environmental, and safety regulations in all facility operations.
  • Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and regular staff training to maintain a safe work environment.

  • Ensure proper claiming of product in ERP to maintain optimal inventory levels of coatings, chemicals, tools, and PPE.
  • Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely restocking of essential materials.
  • Use digital tracking systems to monitor inventory and reduce waste.
Reporting & Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, safety inspections, and quality control checks.
  • Utilize digital reporting systems to track production metrics, equipment performance, and compliance data.
  • Prepare and present reports to upper management on facility operations, process improvements, and workforce efficiency.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or certification in industrial maintenance, process control, or safety management preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment preferably involving coatings, painting, phosphate treatment, or light assembly work.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of paint and phosphate application processes, process monitoring, and industrial equipment.
  • Digital Proficiency: Experience using digital tools for process control, inventory management, and reporting is highly desirable.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage, motivate, and develop teams while fostering a culture of accountability.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to quickly resolve production issues.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud when on the shop floor. This position also has a role in a professional office environment which routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. When in the office environment the employee is in a sedentary role, however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary.
