Office Assistant - Engineering Capstone Office (part-time 17.5 hours/week)

The part-time Capstone Office Specialist provides administrative and office support for the Capstone Office Managers as we all work with the directors, coaches, and 350+ students in our program. This position offers the opportunity to work part time in a fun office environment on BYU Campus while gaining experience in using the financial and office processes, software, and systems used university-wide.

What you'll do in this position

  • Place online and phone orders for Capstone team purchases as directed by managers.
  • Track monthly finances against annual funding and reconcile transactions.
  • Work with monthly university financial statements to create Capstone balance sheets and financial reports.
  • Process the financial transactions created through purchasing and record the transactions in Capstone budgeting and financial databases.
  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and running Capstone events as needed
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Capstone office managers.

What qualifies you for this role:

Required

  • A firm commitment to the mission of BYU.
  • Associate's degree or 2 years of college and 1 year of work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
