Overview

The Landscaper & Groundskeeper plays a key role in maintaining the beauty, safety, and functionality of outdoor spaces. This position is responsible for the care, upkeep, and improvement of lawns, gardens, trees, shrubs, walkways, and outdoor areas of our properties. The ideal candidate enjoys hands‑on work, takes pride in creating attractive environments, and can work independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain lawns through mowing, edging, trimming, aerating, fertilizing, and watering.

  • Operate and maintain landscaping equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools.

  • Plant, prune, and care for trees, shrubs and flowers.

  • Install and maintain landscape features such as mulch, rock beds, borders, and seasonal plantings.

  • Perform groundskeeping tasks such as leaf removal, debris cleanup, and litter control.

  • Maintain irrigation systems, including basic troubleshooting and repairs.

  • Clear walkways and outdoor areas of snow, ice, or hazards as needed.

  • Assist with minor outdoor repairs, such as fence upkeep, pathway maintenance, and signage.

  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, horticulture, or related field preferred.

  • Ability to operate landscaping tools and equipment safely.

  • Knowledge of plant care, lawn maintenance, and basic irrigation systems.

  • Physical stamina to lift to 50 lbs., work outdoors in various weather conditions, and perform repetitive tasks.

  • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of outdoor care.
