Job description

Teufel Landscape is seeking an experienced Landscape Construction Foreman to lead commercial landscape construction crews while actively working alongside them in the field.
This is a working foreman position, not a supervisory-only role. Our foremen are hands-on leaders who install landscape improvements, operate equipment, solve field challenges, train team members, and maintain production while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
If you're the type of leader who prefers being in the work rather than watching from the sidelines, we'd love to talk with you.
What You'll Do
  • Lead, coach, train, and develop landscape construction crews while working alongside them each day.
  • Perform and oversee commercial landscape construction work including planting, irrigation, site preparation, grading, hardscape installation, and other project scopes.
  • Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and layouts.
  • Assign daily work, establish priorities, and keep projects moving efficiently.
  • Operate and direct the safe operation of construction equipment and tools.
  • Monitor crew productivity, workmanship, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate materials, equipment, and labor needs with project leadership.
  • Conduct safety inspections, lead toolbox talks, and enforce company safety standards.
  • Communicate daily with Superintendents and Project Managers regarding progress, resources, and jobsite challenges.
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of commercial landscape construction experience.
  • Previous experience leading crews, serving as a foreman, or demonstrated leadership potential.
  • Strong knowledge of landscape construction methods, including both softscape and hardscape installation.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
  • Experience operating construction equipment and tools safely.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and team-building skills.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.
