Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP)

Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Per Diem
Schedule: Various shifts available
Location: Multiple locations available nationwide

Compensation: $28-45/hr varies by location and degree

We are seeking qualified Medical Technologists (MT/MLS) and Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT) to join clinical laboratory teams across the country. We have opportunities available in multiple states and healthcare settings, with positions ranging from hospital-based generalist roles to specialized laboratory environments.

The ideal candidate is an ASCP-certified laboratory professional who is detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to providing accurate and timely patient testing.

Position Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and complex laboratory testing according to established procedures.
  • Perform testing in areas such as hematology, chemistry, microbiology, urinalysis, immunology, and blood bank, as applicable.
  • Collect, process, and evaluate patient specimens.
  • Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment.
  • Review and report laboratory results accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform and document quality control procedures.
  • Recognize abnormal or critical results and follow appropriate notification procedures.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.
  • Follow all laboratory, hospital, safety, and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Maintain competency and stay current with laboratory practices and technology.
  • Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, laboratory staff, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
Requirements
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field, as appropriate for the position.
  • ASCP certification as an MT/MLS/MLT or equivalent recognized certification.
  • Previous clinical laboratory experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, instrumentation, and quality control.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and critical-thinking skills.
