Lab Technologist - Chemistry - Full-Time
Midnight-Flex, 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM, with alternating weekend coverage.
Laboratory specimens are vital for the accurate diagnosis and treatment of diseases and illnesses. As a Lab Technologist, you will conduct a variety of automated and manual tests, alongside related duties, to gather data for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. You will also perform both STAT and routine testing in an accurate and timely manner. Your keen attention to detail will be essential as you help meet quality control standards and troubleshoot instrument issues. Our labs utilize the Meditech lab information system for data entry and testing performance.
Preferred Criteria:
  • Board certification (ASCP or NCA)
Required Criteria:
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology
  • Current Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York State Education Department
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a clinical laboratory setting, but new grads are welcome to apply.
  • Excellent judgment, communication, computer, troubleshooting, organization and prioritization skills a must.
