Nelsen Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented, strategic team member who is driven to succeed as our new Data & Pricing Analyst! The Data & Pricing Analyst is responsible for managing and optimizing pricing within the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system while supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role establishes pricing guardrails for the sales team, ensures pricing integrity, and delivers actionable insights through reporting and analysis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, which includes the following:

Pricing Management and Governance

  • Develop, implement, and maintain pricing structures and guardrails within the ERP system
  • Monitor pricing compliance and identify trends in overrides or margin erosion
  • Partner with sales leadership to ensure pricing strategies align with company goals
  • Execute mass pricing updates and maintain pricing data integrity
  • Update and maintain website and application pricing and data


Data Analysis and Business Insights

  • Analyze sales, shipment, and customer data to identify trends and opportunities
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across multiple data sources and reporting tools
  • Support strategic initiatives such as new market expansion (e.g., product stocking decisions by region)
  • Provide actionable recommendations to improve margin, inventory decisions, and sales effectiveness

Reporting and Dashboard Development

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor pricing performance, sales trends, and margin metrics
  • Discover opportunities for cost reductions through negotiations or process improvements
  • Assist in the creation, management, and monitoring of purchasing and inventory reporting systems and communication methods
  • Assist in the recruiting and maintenance of suppliers that provide high quality products and services at the best prices
  • Review contracts and supplier agreements for acceptability of terms and future negotiations

ERP and Data Support

  • Create and manage mass update files (e.g., pricing changes, sales representative assignments)
  • Ensure data accuracy across systems and troubleshoot inconsistencies
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve data workflows and reporting capabilities

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, data manipulation)
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Epicor Prophet 21 or similar)
  • Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to manage large datasets
