Job Title: Info Security Specialist II (SOC L2 Analyst)
Department: Information Security
Location: Chicago, IL
Hybrid -1st shift position (M-F, 9 am-5:45 pm CT)

Job Summary
The Info Security Specialist II is an individual contributor responsible for proactively identifying adversary activity across the network and supporting incident response operations. This role requires strong experience in log analysis, network traffic analysis, and familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK framework. The specialist will collaborate closely with global IT Security, SOC, Intelligence, and Incident Response teams.
 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform advanced threat hunting and incident response using SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, and other security tools.
  • Analyze logs, network data, and endpoint activity to detect and respond to adversary behavior.
  • Mentor and review work of junior SOC analysts.
  • Maintain and improve playbooks, detection rules, and security processes.
  • Collaborate with global SOC, Intelligence, and Incident Response teams.
  • Communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
     
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 5+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience (SOC, DFIR, threat hunting).
  • Strong knowledge of SIEM, SOAR, and endpoint protection tools.
  • Familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK framework and incident response lifecycle.
  • Understanding of security regulations (SOX, privacy, internal controls).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Certifications preferred: CISSP, GCFA, GCIH, GCFE, or equivalent.
