Summary Description:
Under the direction of the coordinator of multimedia services in the Division of Communications, the Regions Support Team Leader serves as the lead communications and engagement liaison for two MCPS regions, providing leadership and coordination of regional communications, engagement, and recognition activities. Works closely with schools, regional school directors, and the Coordinator of the Regions Support Team to develop, coordinate and implement regionwide communication strategies and priorities. Leads the development and coordination of communications, publications, digital messaging and engagement initiatives that support regional priorities and MCPS strategic objectives. Responsible for capturing, preparing and posting editorial content, producing stories, creating photos and videos, drafting community messages, supporting social media, and contributing to newsletters and website content. Provides on-the-ground support at engagement events, regional meetings, and school activities to strengthen two-way communication. Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 30 pounds to transport equipment necessary for the work.Special Requirements: Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to work evenings and weekends for community and school events. Work requires frequent travel between schools, attendance at evening events and the capacity to work under rapid deadlines.
