Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to support sheet metal fabrication in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for setting up and operating press brake equipment to produce high-quality parts that meet engineering specifications. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate press brake equipment, including tooling selection and machine adjustments
  • Bend and form sheet metal according to drawings, specifications, and work instructions
  • Inspect parts using measuring tools to ensure accuracy and quality standards
  • Monitor production and adjust as needed to maintain efficiency and consistency
  • Perform basic maintenance and troubleshoot minor equipment or process issues
  • Record production data and complete required documentation in internal systems
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures including PPE requirements
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and support continuous improvement
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures including PPE requirements to perform the job safely
Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience operating a press brake or working in metal fabrication (preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints (SolidWorks experience preferred)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with measuring tools (calipers, gauges, etc.)
  • Basic computer skills; experience with ERP systems such as Epicor is a plus (preferred)
  • Ability to lift materials and perform physical tasks, including standing for extended periods
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to quality and safety
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English workplace instructions
