Job description

Job Title: Network Support Engineer - FIX
Location: Chicago, IL [ (Day one Onsite)
Essential Skill - Network (Strong), FIX (2 years strong mandate), Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience is required.
Job Description:
  • Work with the trading desk, to support external client's execution flow.
  • Engage with the technology teams on client side to support the production business flow and work on various client onboarding projects for on-boarding new clients, and managing/maintaining the limits and systems interface for existing clients •
  • Manage all the production releases and environments for CARE, DMA and Algo workflows on Global Stock exchanges and support the clients' flow from FIX Onboarding and operations perspective.
  • Work on the cost savings initiatives by reducing and reviewing the FIX Connections globally
  • Work with external clients on certification for new products and algorithms roll out.
  • Work with QA teams to test out any new features/functions developed as part of new client requirements, and do the regression testing if any system updates are going to PROD.
  • Work with networking teams to implement firewall changes whenever any new platform/client is on board.
Skills
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in FIX client on-boarding.
  • High Level understanding of FIX protocol.
  • Good understanding of Unix.
  • Ability to work independently and read FIX Logs files efficiently to resolve order workflow and session related issues.
  • Networking knowledge (e.g., TCP/UDP, NTP, ICMP, SNMP, etc.)
  • Demonstrate high-level client service skills (incident management, operational processes) Experience with supporting complex business-critical systems and enterprise distributed systems.
  • Front office experience preferably Futures and Equity Derivative, and experience with Electronic Trading Systems/Client Connectivity.
  • Ready to work in Flexible hours, including weekends.
  • 1st point of contact for incidents to both clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Interest in at least one programming language (Java/C#)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English
  • Experience FIX - Financial integration exchange (2 years), 5-6 years overall is fine too.
