KENT WORLDWIDEโ„ข is proud to offer an exciting opportunity to join our Consumer Brands division as a Janitorial Technician. The Janitor performs repetitive work in the Sanitation Department. This position is responsible for all activities in and around the building requiring cleaning and sanitizing.

  • โ€œThis position is designed and intended to be performed in New Sharon, Iowa.โ€

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPโ€™s) with regards to sanitation.
  • Adheres to all company and regulatory product quality, sanitation, food safety, employee, and environmental standards.
  • Adheres to company Lock Out Tag Out, and HACCP procedures.
  • Cleans offices and laboratories, including but not limited to vacuuming, dusting and mopping.
  • Collects all office, warehouse and production trash and places it in the compactor.
  • Cleans and sanitizes all restrooms and employee breakroom.
  • Routinely sweeps and scrubs warehouse floor utilizing floor scrubber.
  • Performs outside plant grounds keeping (sidewalk, assists in snow removal, trash pick-up, etc.).
  • Monitors levels of inventory for break room and cleaning supplies and notifies management of possible shortages.
  • This position may be assigned to support packaging line operations and perform packaging duties as needed based on business and production requirements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work in varying temperature conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds including above head and below the waist for 50% or more of shift.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
