Job description

Position Available: Part Time Unarmed Security Officer - FANUC America Corporation in Oakland County, MI
Schedule: Saturday, 3:15pm to 11:15pm and Sunday, 7:15am to 3:15pm
Wage: $18.00/hour

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Patrol assigned premises on foot or by vehicle to deter and detect signs of intrusion, unauthorized persons, or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor security systems, alarms, and surveillance cameras.
  • Control access to facilities by verifying identification and credentials.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, providing assistance as needed.
  • Document incidents, daily activities, and security irregularities in clear, accurate, and timely written reports.
  • Enforce property rules and regulations professionally and courteously.
  • Provide excellent customer service while interacting with employees, visitors, and the public.
  • Assist in evacuations or other safety procedures in emergencies.
  • Liaise with local law enforcement or emergency responders as necessary.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures to maintain high standards of conduct and appearance.

Position Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior security or customer service experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong observational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Physically capable of standing or walking for extended periods.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
