American Consultants is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Santa Rosa, California.

Job Opportunity โ€“ Registered Nurse, Operating Room โ€“ Santa Rosa, CA 95405

Start Date: August 24, 2026

Location: Santa Rosa, California

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (09:00 - 21:00). Variable start times may include 7:00 or 9:00. On-call required, distributed equally among nursing staff every 6 weeks (up to 6-8 shifts per 6-week period, including nights, evenings, and weekends). May need to cover one night shift within contract as needed. Weekend coverage required. Two major holidays required (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year).

Highlights:
  • 91-day travel assignment at a 277-bed acute care hospital with Level I Trauma designation
  • Diverse surgical case mix including trauma, orthopedics, neurosurgery, vascular, robotics, general, GU, and GYN procedures
  • Work with advanced technology including Da Vinci Xi Surgical System and Epic charting
  • 40 hours of orientation provided; free parking available
  • Collaborative interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
  • Average daily census of 25 cases with staffing ratios of 10 RN/6 ST during days
Requirements:
  • Active California RN license (must be in hand; pending licenses not accepted)
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum 2-3 years of Operating Room nursing experience
  • Trauma Level I experience required with demonstrated competency in trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic procedures
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Extensive OR skills including trauma response, total joint replacement, spinal fusion, robotic surgery, laparoscopic procedures, and vascular cases
  • Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
  • Willingness to float between affiliated facilities as needed
  • Local candidates accepted (50-mile radius rule applies)
