Job Summary:
CACI International Inc is seeking a Network Engineer Tier 2 to support an Intelligence Community customer's diverse network infrastructure. The role involves implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining IT networks, ensuring compliance with standards, and providing support for network performance improvements.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Provide problem identification, diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution of incidents and problems.
โ€ข Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to the company management and customer.
โ€ข Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process
โ€ข Isolate and resolve of hardware and software problems involving the applications, the operating system, the hardware, the communications infrastructure, or any combination thereof
โ€ข Troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
โ€ข Integrate new technologies into new and existing systems including the transition and migration of corporate systems.
โ€ข Supports hardware infrastructure site surveys, planning, and design.
โ€ข Provide transition planning and support services that accelerate delivery timelines, reduce operational risk and ensure service continuity during transition.
โ€ข Provide transition planning and support for the migration of existing services between environments (migration to Cloud environments), migration of users from existing service platforms to new service offerings and transition of services into operations
โ€ข Works individually and actively participates on integrated teams
โ€ข Understands and applies more advanced concepts and processes to daily activities.
โ€ข Assists more senior level technicians, specialists, and managers in their activities.

Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
โ€ข 5+ years of related work experience
โ€ข TS/SCI w/ poly is required
โ€ข DoD 8140.01 and 8570.01-M, IAT II required
โ€ข Plans, builds, and installs cable patch panels and cable infrastructures.
โ€ข Installs and terminates all types of standard IT cable and fiber.
โ€ข Manage IT network infrastructure and any processes related to these systems
โ€ข Makes recommendations on hardware, cabling, and equipment requirements.
โ€ข Provides installation management to include creating list of materials, bills of materials, estimating installation project timelines, determining installation team requirements, successfully executing installation projects, and documenting project status.
โ€ข Provides equipment rack installation and equipment installations within a variety of locations that includes, but is not limited to, data centers, equipment rooms, communications closets, operations centers, and user workspaces
โ€ข Experience with routing and switching protocols (e.g., OSPF, VLAN, Spanning Tree Protocol, etc.).
โ€ข Knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, and related technologies as well as knowledge of network hardware (routers, switches).
Preferred:
โ€ข Certifications such as JNCIA, JNCIP, CCNA, CCNP, or similar are highly preferred
