Job description

This isn't a quota and a territory. It's a chance to be the person who leads the sales of a home interior brand as it scales.

Neatly designs and installs custom organization systems for residential and commercial spaces across the DC metro market — closets, pantries, mudrooms, garages, home offices, and beyond. We're looking for a Sales Manager who wants to own the market, prove the model, and build a team around that success.

The right person in this seat has a direct path to brand leadership as a General Manager within an organization that is actively growing.

Compensation:

$110,000 - $140,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

Residential Sales

  • Run in-home design consultations with qualified homeowners using company-provided leads

  • Own close rate and revenue targets in a high-ticket, relationship-driven sales environment

  • Design custom storage solutions within a defined modular product system

  • Deliver clean project handoff to the production team — scope, measurements, zero ambiguity

Commercial Development

  • Identify and develop commercial accounts including property managers, corporate relocation firms, real estate developers, staging companies, and senior living communities

  • Build a commercial pipeline that runs alongside residential volume

  • Negotiate and close commercial contracts with repeat account potential

Network and Team Building

  • Build referral relationships with real estate agents, interior designers, and professional organizers

  • Identify sales talent as Neatly grows — the Sales Manager who proves the model becomes the person who builds and leads the team

Qualifications:
  • Excellent leadership skills, analytical skills, and communication skills
  • Demonstrates a proven track record of success in sales

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven closer in consultative sales — residential, commercial, or both — with an average transaction of $5,000 or more

  • Has managed or is ready to manage a sales team — not just carry a bag

  • Available for evening and weekend appointments as a standard part of the work schedule

  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation

  • Thinks beyond the close — asks how the process scales, not just how this deal wins

  • Comfortable working within a defined product system

  • Walks into a space and immediately sees the opportunity

  • Wants to build something, not just work within something
