What You'll Do:
Teach assigned instrumentation courses or modules as scheduled, providing engaging, complete, and industry-relevant instruction.
Prepare and distribute course syllabi aligned with approved master syllabi and college course-management requirements.
Maintain accurate attendance, progress, assessment, and grade records; meet all college reporting and submission deadlines.
Provide timely feedback and respond to student questions within 24 hours on workdays and 48 hours on weekends, in accordance with division procedures.
Monitor student progress, mentor learners, and refer students who may need academic advising, counseling, or additional support.
Create an inclusive, respectful learning environment that supports students of all backgrounds, perspectives, and abilities.
Collaborate with department leadership and colleagues to advance program and college goals.
Participate in required professional development, training, convocation, conferences, and college activities.
Follow all college, LCTC, accreditation, legal, accessibility, harassment, and academic policies.
Represent the college professionally and contribute positively to its culture.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
An associate degree in instrumentation or a related discipline from an accredited college or university; or
An associate degree plus relevant professional experience and required industry certifications; or
At least 10 years of professional experience at or above the highest level of skill being taught.
Strong instructional and communication skills.
Knowledge of computers and instructional technology.
A student-centered approach to teaching and mentoring.
Strong organization, reliability, and attention to deadlines.
Ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, supervisors, and community partners.
The selected candidate must obtain NCCER Craft Instructor certification in the Instrumentation discipline within 60 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Teaching experience in instrumentation or a related discipline at the college or high school level.
Current industry experience and relevant professional certifications.
