The IT Security Analyst is responsible for safeguarding the organization’s systems and networks. This role focuses on planning, implementing, and monitoring security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure the integrity of IT infrastructure. Travel between 25 and 50 percent will be required to support critical projects, including on-site assessments, security implementations, and collaboration with plant and corporate teams based on business needs and locations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Security Monitoring and Incident Response: Monitor security systems and networks for potential threats and vulnerabilities. Respond to security incidents and conduct thorough investigations.
  • Perform regular risk assessments and vulnerability testing. Recommend and implement appropriate security measures.
  • Support the creation and enforcement of security policies, procedures, and standards. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and best practices.
  • Conduct training and awareness sessions to promote adherence to security protocols across the organization.
  • System Maintenance: Maintain and update security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, video surveillance, access control, and antivirus software.
  • Work closely with IT and OT teams, management, and external vendors to ensure comprehensive security coverage and timely issue resolution.
  • Maintain records of incidents, assessments, and remediation actions. Provide regular reports for management review.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an IT Security Analyst or in a similar role with strong knowledge of security protocols and best practices.
  • GSEC and Sec+ or other relevant certifications preferred.
  • Proficiency with security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols and operating systems.
  • Strong problem solving and risk assessment abilities.
  • Ability to clearly explain technical security concepts to non technical stakeholders.
  • High level of accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross functional team environment.
  • CySA+ and/or CISA certification preferred.
  • Experience with security compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 or NIST
  • Experience developing and delivering end user security training programs
  • Three years of experience in an IT security role
  • Willing and able to travel up to 25 to 50 percent during projects, with the possibility of increased travel for long term initiatives.
  • Willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs when assisting with racking server and network equipment if needed.
