Weekend Iga Cashier Jobs (NOW HIRING)

Summary:
McKim's IGA is seeking friendly, dependable, and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Cashiers. Cashiers are responsible for providing excellent customer service, accurately processing transactions, and helping create a positive shopping experience for every customer.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Accurately scan and process customer purchases.
Handle cash, credit card, EBT, and other forms of payment.
Balance cash drawer and maintain transaction accuracy.
Assist customers with questions and direct them to products throughout the store.
Bag groceries and assist customers as needed.
Keep checkout areas clean, organized, and well-stocked.
Assist with stocking, facing merchandise, and general housekeeping duties when needed.
Follow company policies and safety procedures.
Qualifications:
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
Previous cashier or retail experience is preferred but not required.

Requirements:
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Ability to provide friendly and professional customer service.
Dependable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling transactions.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Previous retail or cashier experience is helpful but not required.
Responsibilities
Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.

Handle cash, checks, credit/debit cards, EBT, and other forms of payment.
Balance cash drawer and maintain transaction accuracy.
Assist customers with questions and help locate products throughout the store.
Bag groceries and assist customers when needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked checkout area.
Monitor and replenish front-end supplies such as bags and receipt paper.
Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Assist with stocking, facing merchandise, cleaning, and other duties as assigned.
Help create a positive shopping experience that encourages customers to return.
