Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for preserving the excellent condition and functionality of all machinery and production equipment. Maintenance tasks such are electrical, PLC, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical repairs are expected to be performed in an efficient andeffedftive manner, along with observing all health and safety quidlines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

Strictly follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties

Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on machines

Perform minor and major overhauls to equipment by completely disassembling, repairing, and reassembling equipment to proper operation conditions

Perform corrective maintenance and troubleshooting equipment utilizing diagnostic equipment and programmable logic controllers (PLC's) as necessary

Repair, rework, and calibrate hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies and systems to meet operational specifications and tolerances

Participate in new equipment installations by interfacing with equipment vendors, contractors, and assisting engineers

Testing of electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, and voltmeters to ensure proper operation and safety of system

Maintain a clean and organized work area

Flexible, performs other duties as assigned

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar maintenance position within a manufacturing environment

Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills

Succeeds in a fast-paced work environment

Strong project and time management skills

Mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulic and some welding experience required

Experience with PLCs and automation

Strong ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization

Highly skilled in problem-solving and team-building

Flexible to work weekends and overtime as necessary
