Job description

Logistic III Subject Matter Expert
We are looking for an innovative Logistics III Subject Matter Expert for Hurricane Relief Efforts when activated. As a Subject Matter Expert, your duties will include evaluating organizational needs and recommending suitable technical solutions during deployment to Hurricane impacted areas within Texas and Louisiana.
To ensure success, a Subject Matter Expert should possess an exceptional track record in evaluating organizational needs and pioneering the development of technical solutions. Outstanding Subject Matter Experts improve organizational efficiency by applying their expert knowledge to resolve complex challenges.
Subject Matter Expert Responsibilities:
  • All candidates must be able to deploy with little or no advance notice to support logistics operations for Hurricane events within Texas or Louisiana for an extended period of time.
  • Deployments may include working in excess of eight hours a day, or in excess of 40 hours per week, including weekends and holidays, and under stressful, physically demanding, and austere conditions.
  • When activated and deployed, you are entitled to lodging, transportation, and per diem reimbursements for authorized expenses
  • Overseeing and supporting logistics management functions including inventory and accountable property management, use of tracking systems, and coordinating work assignments for any subcontract or identified vendors.
  • Establishing Incident Command Facilities including Branch Operations setup. Track, maintain and identify materials required to sustain site operations.
  • Maintain exceptional records of site operation expenditures daily.
  • Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders on supply management issues and provide guidance when required
  • Assist in the development of plans, goals, and objectives for emergency site operations
  • Track and maintain accountability of government-owned equipment and materials assigned during operations
  • Managing emergency response branch site operations to include personnel and fiscal controls.

  • Determining whether technical solutions meet defined requirements.
  • Ensuring accurate representation of expertise prior to the distribution of technical solutions to sub-contractors and vendors.
  • Documenting processes and disseminating information to all relevant stakeholders and government officials.

Subject Matter Expert Requirements:
  • Bachelors preferred but not required. Will consider experience in substitute of education.
  • Demonstrable credentials as a leading Subject Matter Expert.
  • 10 years of experience working in the relevant area of expertise.
  • Advanced knowledge of business operations and project management.
  • Advanced ability to recommend and implement technical solutions for cross-functional projects.
  • Exceptional leadership and mentorship abilities to introduce and implement technical solutions.
  • Excellent recordkeeping, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
