Job description

Service Center Metals (SCM) is seeking several Experienced CDL Truck Driver based out of our Prince George, VA aluminum production plant delivering to different locations.
This position involves delivering material using a company tractor-trailer as an over-the-road/line haul driver. SCM values our truck drivers, and we believe in a work/life balance offering minimal overnights during the week and home on the weekends. We give our truck drivers the stability of working for a company but driving as an independent.
Candidate requirements:
  • Class A CDL or commercial driver's license
  • Minimum of two (2) years driving experience involving tractor-trailer/flatbed
  • Monday - Friday, home 1 night a week and home on weekends
  • Must have clean driving record
  • Understanding of DOT safety standards
  • Be dependable and accountable

Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
  • Self-directed and motivated
  • Good organizational skills with strong attention to detail
