Job Description

The Quality Inspector ensures that manufactured parts consistently meet engineering drawings, specifications, and established quality standards. This role performs detailed inspections of incoming and in‑process parts, uses precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances, and collaborates with internal teams and external vendors to resolve quality issues and maintain high product reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect incoming parts to verify that they meet engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Perform in‑process inspections during manufacturing to ensure parts remain within specified tolerances and quality requirements.
  • Read and interpret engineering blueprints, drawings, and basic specifications to determine inspection criteria.
  • Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, rulers, and other measuring devices to verify dimensions and tolerances.
  • Conduct visual inspections to identify defects, non‑conformances, and potential quality issues.
  • Document inspection results clearly and accurately in accordance with established procedures.
  • Report non‑conformances promptly to the appropriate personnel and support follow‑up actions to address quality issues.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external vendors to communicate inspection findings and support continuous improvement in product quality.
  • Apply a basic understanding of manufacturing tolerances when evaluating parts and making accept/reject decisions.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
