Middle School Girls' Field Hockey - Job Posting Position
Position Title: Middle School Girls' Field Hockey Coach
Location: Regional School District No. 7, Northwestern Regional Middle School
Start Date: 2026 Fall Season
Position Summary
Regional School District No. 7 is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Middle School Field Hockey Coach for the Fall 2026 athletic season at Northwestern Regional Middle School. The successful candidate will foster skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive athletic experience for all student-athletes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and supervise all practices, games, and team activities.
  • Teach fundamental field hockey skills, rules, and strategies appropriate for middle school athletes.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for student-athletes.
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, school administration, and the Athletic Department.
  • Ensure compliance with all district policies, school expectations, and CIAC regulations.
  • Maintain equipment, uniforms, and field space in coordination with the Athletic Department.
  • Model and reinforce positive sportsmanship and conduct.
  • Available for practices and competitions that occur after school hours, with occasional weekend commitments
  • Attend required meetings, trainings, and professional development for coaches.

Qualifications
Required:
  • Knowledge of field hockey rules, skills, and safety practices
  • Ability to work effectively with middle school students
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • CIAC coaching certification (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Successful completion of all required background checks

Preferred:
  • Prior coaching experience at the middle school or high school level
  • Experience working in a school or youth athletic environment

This is a stipend position via NTA contractual agreement.
