Key Responsibilities
- Review medical records for completeness and accuracy
- Assign appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and other applicable codes based on documentation
- Ensure coding compliance with regulatory and organizational standards
- Compile and analyze medical record documentation for accurate code selection
- Work collaboratively with providers and staff to clarify documentation when needed
- Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information
- Support revenue cycle and health information management processes
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development
- HIM coding certification preferred
- Healthcare experience preferred
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with electronic systems
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow professionally
