Job Description

Hastings Brothers Construction is looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to join our excavation crew. We specialize in high end custom residential and light commercial excavation throughout the Denver metro area.


Our projects include basement excavation, underground utilities including sewer, water and storm drainage, as well as rough and final grading.


This is a hands on position for an experienced operator who is comfortable working both in and out of the equipment. Our operators are an important part of the crew throughout the entire project and are expected to contribute wherever needed to keep the job moving efficiently.


Responsibilities include:

• Safely and efficiently operate excavators, skid steers, loaders and other heavy equipment
• Perform excavation, backfilling, rough grading and final grading
• Read and set grades according to project plans and specifications (preferred)
• Assist with installation of sewer, water, storm drainage and other utilities
• Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance checks
• Work alongside the crew outside of equipment when needed
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other crew members
• Follow company and jobsite safety procedures
• Maintain a high standard of quality and attention to detail
