Job description

This role is based at the Greenville, SC production facility, supporting Final Assembly and Checkout (FACO) operations, where precision, quality, and adherence to strict safety and engineering standards are critical to mission success.
 
Shift Requirements
  • Candidates must be able to work any assigned shift, based on program needs following training:
  • 1st Shift: Monday–Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday | 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM
  • Weekend Shift: Thursday–Sunday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Job Description:
  • You will serve as a FACO Production Avionics Technician supporting the F-16 Final Assembly and Checkout (FACO) Team at Greenville production facility.
  • This team is responsible for critical Final Assembly and Checkout operations, including installation of electrical harnesses and wiring, continuity checks, system-level testing, and soldering and termination activities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Install and test electrical harnesses and avionics components in accordance with engineering documentation and work instructions.
  • Route wires and cables through aircraft structures, ensuring proper configuration, protection, and compliance with standards.
  • Perform cable and wire terminations, soldering, and connector installations.
  • Conduct operational and functional checks of avionics and electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair avionics and electrical system discrepancies within assigned work areas.
  • Perform additional duties as required, including general mechanical installations, inspections, and testing activities.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 4+ years of recent aircraft avionics or electrical modification experience (fighter aircraft experience preferred but not required).
  • Demonstrated experience with avionics and/or harness modifications.
  • Minimum 4+ years of recent soldering experience; must be able to successfully pass soldering test and/or training.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a production environment.
  • Manufacturing and aircraft production environment supporting Final Assembly and Checkout operations.
  • Work may involve confined spaces, elevated platforms, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Fighter aircraft avionics experience.
  • Active security clearance (not required but considered a plus).
