What You'll Do

Primary Responsibilities

  • Safely operate trucks and trailers to transport equipment and construction materials.
  • Report directly to the foreman or supervisor and work closely with the crew.
  • Conduct daily inspections of trucks and equipment, including fluids, lights, tires, and general wear and tear.
  • Maintain accurate records for materials hauled, moved, or distributed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and keep maintenance logs updated.
  • Keep trucks and equipment clean, organized, and job-site ready.
  • Promptly report safety concerns, maintenance issues, or hazardous conditions.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist crews with paving, gravel work, sealcoating, and other construction-related tasks as needed.
  • Support general maintenance of company buildings, equipment, and shop areas.
  • Help mechanics with repairs and maintenance when necessary.
  • Operate tools and equipment such as plate compactors, saws, striping equipment, and sealcoating units.
  • Perform physical labor including shoveling, raking, lifting, wheelbarrowing, and material placement.
  • Work safely around hot asphalt, petroleum products, cleaning solvents, and active construction zones.
  • Be available for occasional night work, overtime, and weekend shifts during peak seasons.


What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Valid and unexpired Maine CDL license required.
  • Ability to pass required drug screening(s).
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work well with a team and take direction effectively.
  • Comfortable performing physical labor in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
