Legacy Golf Club - Player Service Attendant
Summary:
The Golf Services Attendant should have a friendly and helpful attitude always as you would be responsible for assisting the guests at the golf course, charging and preparing golf carts for the day to day operations, and assist golfers in loading and unloading their golf bags and clean guest golf clubs and shoes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Setup bag drop, cart staging and driving range areas before our guests arrive. Make sure all areas are always clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Ensure that all arriving guests are properly greeted, bags unloaded & shuttled, cars parked, questions answered, and directions given.
  • Staging golf carts for the guests use.
  • Properly always set up the driving and keep it functioning.
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized cart barn.
  • Perform all required cart maintenance procedures.
  • Constant communication with the Starter/Greeter, Guest Services Manager, Golf Shop, Cart Attendants, Bag Handlers and Player Assistants.
  • Ensure that all departing guests are properly greeted, bags shuttled & loaded, cars retrieved, questions answered, directions given and thanked for visiting the facility.
  • Keep all areas clean and well organized.
  • Assist the Starter/Greeter with bag handling and any other guest's needs.
  • Make sure all golf carts are clean, stocked and parked properly in the staging area.
  • Perform all required preventative maintenance procedures on the golf carts
  • Perform all required opening & closing procedures and security of the owner's assets.
  • Perform other duties as requested by WGP Corporate / Guest Services Captain / Starter & Greeter.
Requirements

  • Required to be available for work on all major holidays.
  • Must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds
  • Physical, Environmental, Cognitive and Social Requirements:
  • Sitting, standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, twisting, kneeling, pushing, pulling, grasping and stand for long periods of time, sometimes outdoors exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions (hot and cold) and moderate to loud noise level.
  • Frequently required to stoop, bend, crouch, and squat climb, kneel, in and out of golf carts, and to twist at the neck and waist, reach above and below shoulder level, push and pull when retrieving, storing and moving golf bags; use dominate hand and fingers to feel and grasp, push and pull and for find manipulation to detail carts, clean clubs and use two-way radios.

  • Monitors and maintains the pace of play on the course(s) at pre-determined acceptable playing times.
  • Responsible for communicating course pace of play, course conditions and situations to the Starter, Golf Shop Staff, other Player Assistants and any other appropriate personnel.
  • Remain visible and accessible to guests on the course. Assist them with whatever they need. Greets the guest(s) with a smile and by their name if possible.
  • Combines groups to make foursomes where appropriate.
  • Makes sure that all guests start at their designated time.
  • During your tour of the course, pick up any trash/debris, replace cart directional stakes/ropes, fix ball marks on greens and check all on-course restrooms for needed supplies and cleanliness.
  • Remains in constant communication with the Golf Shop, Cart Attendants, Bag Handlers and Player Assistants.
  • Inform the guests about current course conditions, local rules, golf cart restrictions, inclement weather, golf course etiquette and any activities on the course which could affect their round.
Requirements
  • Maintain a clean and stocked cart with required supplies at all times.
  • Copy and review the day's tee sheets with the Starter/Greeter. Update throughout the day.
  • Monitor pace of play at all times by being visible and recording all pertinent information on your pace of play log sheets. Assist slow groups.
  • While roaming the course report any on course safety issues; assist the players with any cart mechanical or GPS problems, pickup any loose trash, fix down ropes, repair ball marks, check on course restrooms frequently to make sure they are clean and have proper supplies.
  • Work closely with the tournament department leading players onto the course and placing or retrieving proximity markers from the course. Keep golf shop aware of the positions of the first and last group in a tournament shotgun for crossover purposes.
  • Perform other duties as requested by WGP Corporate / Guest Services Captain / Starter & Greeter.
