Description
The Assistant Golf Course Mechanic maintains and repairs vehicles and equipment for Pebble Beach Company departments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Advise the Lead Golf Equipment Technician on maintenance programs and problems.
  • Collaborate with Lead Golf Equipment Technician to communicate capabilities and specifications for new vehicles and equipment.
  • Perform service on vehicles and equipment
  • Perform engine overhauls, rebuilding major components.
  • Perform tune-ups, adjustments, alignments and calibrations.
  • Maintain and repair transmissions and differentials.
  • Perform brake service and replacement.
  • Perform tire service and replacement.
  • Install safety equipment.
  • Maintain accurate work sheets (parts and labor) on all maintenance and repairs completed.
  • Maintain a presentable appearance and courteous manner, projecting a positive attitude toward co-workers and others.
  • Maintain good housekeeping standards.
  • Make repairs in a timely manner.
  • Transport equipment and vehicles throughout Forest and to Golf Department.
  • Communicate effectively and appropriately.
  • Comply with all Pebble Beach Company safety and health policies and procedures.

Absolutely Required Skills:
  • Preventive maintenance and repairs on licensed vehicles and/or golf course equipment.
  • Ability to complete work orders legibly and accurately.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Ability to use good judgement and communicate in a courteous manner with residents.
  • Preventive maintenance and repairs experience.
  • Availability to work weekends and overtime as needed.
  • Valid California driver's license, with less than 2 points.
