Position Overview

The Lane Technician / Traffic Control Laborer at Professional Excavators & Construction Inc. is responsible for assisting with the setup, maintenance, and removal of traffic control devices at construction sites. This role ensures the safety of workers and the public by effectively managing traffic flow and work zone barriers during construction activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in setting up and dismantling lane closures, worksite barriers, cones, and signage on roadways.
  • Maintain and inspect traffic control devices to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Follow established traffic control plans to help safely direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
  • Communicate with the crew and supervisors to report any hazards or issues on site.
  • Perform general labour duties related to traffic control and site safety.
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions, maintaining physical stamina and vigilance.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in traffic control or construction labour is an asset but not required.
  • Ability to work safely around traffic and construction equipment.
