These team members are energetic educators and mentors who use our National Program Portfolio to deliver programming that is girl-led, culturally responsive, and aligned with both Girl Scout outcomes and the priorities of school and community partners.

Program Instructors build strong relationships with girls, teachers, site staff, and caregivers, ensuring that girls are aware of and connected to the full range of Girl Scout opportunities—including camp, the cookie program, STEM experiences, family nights, and community events. They embody empathy, relatability, and consistency—creating spaces where all girls feel seen, supported, and inspired.

Relationship Building & Community Alignment

  • Build positive, professional relationships with site staff, teachers, caregivers, and girls.
  • Ensure programming supports both Girl Scout leadership outcomes and the school/community partner's goals for youth development.
  • Serve as a trusted site representative of GSNETX, communicating needs and successes to your supervisor.

Data, Logistics & Accountability

  • Accurately complete and submit administrative tasks including attendance, membership forms, permission slips, evaluations, and surveys.
  • Ensure supplies are gathered, program kits are maintained, and spaces are prepared and cleaned before and after activities.
  • Deliver feedback and outcome data to support program evaluation and improvement.
  • Maintain flexible scheduling to adapt to site needs while meeting attendance and delivery benchmarks.

Organizational Collaboration

  • Participate in regular team meetings, required training, and council-wide events as assigned.
  • Mentor girls during the Cookie Program to support goal setting, business skills, and confidence-building.
  • Support special events, field trips, and take-action projects, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Qualifications Required:

  • Experience working with children or youth in educational or community settings.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion; ability to relate to girls from a wide range of backgrounds.
  • Ability to travel to program sites across the council footprint.
  • Strong communication and organization skills; detail-oriented and dependable.
  • Ability to manage a class size up to 25, per adult.
