Marina Consultation and Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and culturally competent Senior Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our growing team in providing impactful mental health services remotely. This remote position offers the flexibility to work from the comfort of your home while remaining an integral part of a collaborative team environment dedicated to continuous improvement and professional growth. Our work hours are structured for work-life harmony, allowing you to maintain a balance while serving clients effectively. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring you have evenings and weekends free.

• Conduct thorough assessments of client conditions to accurately evaluate the severity, frequency, and impact of mood disorder symptoms.
• Collaborate closely with clients to create personalized treatment plans that align with their individual goals and preferences.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to provide effective interventions.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, outlining available treatment options and self-care practices to foster understanding and empowerment.
• Regularly monitor clients' progress through scheduled follow-up sessions, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on their evolving needs and responses.
• Engage in collaborative efforts with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
• Stay current with the latest research in mood disorder treatment, integrating new insights into your therapeutic practice to improve patient outcomes.
• Document all client interactions and treatment plans meticulously to ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards.
• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings, sharing insights and seeking feedback to optimize clinical practices and efficacy.
• Champion the destigmatization of mental health issues, advocating for clients’ rights and access to mental health services.

Our primary focus is on individuals experiencing mood-related challenges such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. The therapist will work closely with a wide range of clients from diverse backgrounds, fostering a therapeutic alliance built on trust and mutual respect. Your contributions will be essential in aiding these individuals as they navigate their mental health journeys, supporting their quest for happiness and stability.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.
• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based practices, particularly in CBT and DBT.
• Comprehensive understanding of psychopharmacology to collaborate effectively with prescribing psychiatrists.
• A proven track record of successful treatment outcomes in managing mood disorders.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to connect with clients from varied cultural backgrounds.

• Experience working with a diverse client base, demonstrating cultural awareness and sensitivity in treatment approaches.
• Previous experience in a clinical mental health setting, particularly in outpatient services.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and electronic health record (EHR) systems to facilitate effective client management.

• Competitive salary range of USD 100,000 – 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
