Job description

JOB TITLE: Food and Beverage Team Member
REPORTS TO: Area and Unit Supervisors
DEPARTMENT: Food and Beverage
PAY RATE: $19.29/hour
ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS: Until September 1st 2026
ANTICIPATED FILL DATE: Until September 1st 2026
JOB SUMMARY: It is the duty of all Food Service Team Members to assist in achieving the standards of the Elitch Gardens food and beverage program in a range of stands.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensuring that guest satisfaction and food safety is at all times the focus of each stand.
  • Maintain proper attendance and promptness.
  • Maintain proper grooming according to grooming guidelines.
  • Properly operate point of sale system in accordance with policy.
  • May be required to perform work in other food service areas of the park as needed.
  • Ensuring that all food equipment is properly used and cared for.
  • Maintaining the storage and production of food so that it adheres to food safety practices.
  • Maintaining a guest-ready environment which includes having sufficient product and a clean environment.
  • Keeping food preparation areas clean and organized.
  • Ensuring that cooking projections are adhered to.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Candidate must be 16 years old (18 in areas serving alcohol).
  • Previous food service and catering experience preferred. Must have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Must possess oral and written English skills and must be able to communicate with Guests and other Team Members effectively.
  • Ability to foresee changes in product needs and levels during peak and slow times.
  • Ability to work in a variety of different weather conditions.
  • You will also work closely with many different types of machinery. Extreme caution needs to be used at all times.
  • Available to work overtime.
  • Available to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be food safety certified.
  • Attention to detail.

  • Must be able to walk or stand for up to six hours a shift
  • Requires occasional kneeling and bending.
  • Requires occasional reaching above shoulder, pushing and pulling.
  • Requires occasional lifts and carries up to 30 pounds.
  • Requires occasional carries up to 100 pounds with the assistance of a two-wheel hand truck.
  • Requires manual and bi-manual dexterity, fine and gross motor skills, eye/hand coordination, near vision, hearing, and speech.
