Position Overview
FSS Technologies is hiring a Fire Sprinkler Apprentice to learn the fire sprinkler trade under the direction of experienced fitters and foremen. This is an entry-level, hands-on role for someone who is hardworking, dependable, and ready to build a long-term career in fire protection. No prior fire sprinkler experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Learn to install commercial and residential fire sprinkler systems.
  • Assist with installing pipe, fittings, valves, hangers, and sprinkler heads.
  • Learn to read blueprints and sprinkler drawings.
  • Operate tools and equipment safely.
  • Load and unload materials at the job site.
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site.
  • Follow OSHA safety requirements and company safety policies.
  • Complete daily paperwork and communicate with your supervisor.

Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required but are not necessarily all-inclusive.
Education & Experience
  • No prior fire sprinkler experience is required; FSS Technologies provides on-the-job training.
  • Mechanical aptitude is a plus but not required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • This is a full-time, field-based role working from active job sites within the assigned service area.

Technical Skills
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work safely from ladders and lifts.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team on active job sites.
  • Reliable and punctual, with a strong, consistent work ethic.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn a skilled trade.
