Company and Property

BOSTON Marriott Newton is located along the Charles River in Newton, Massachusetts. The hotel offers 430 rooms and over 34,000 square feet of meeting space. It is part of the Pyramid Global Hospitality portfolio, which operates more than 230 properties worldwide.

Responsibilities
  • Effectively manage and communicate cash flow related issues, as required to management and ownership.
  • Coordinate the completion of all forecasts and budgets with the full and active participation of the Executive Team and department managers.
  • Analyze financial data and operations to assist and advise management in maintaining the hotel’s financial objectives.
  • Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled on a timely basis.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure effective management and control of financial resources.
  • Establish and continually audit all internal financial controls including purchasing, cash handling, disbursements, credit extension, inventories, assets, master keys, payroll, and records.
  • Direct and/or prepare all financial reports in accordance with the company’s requirements, meeting various due dates and deadlines.
  • Conduct regular financial analysis and provide insights on revenue generation, cost control, and profitability enhancement.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality and guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and financial institutions.
  • Ensure hotels’ compliance on all regulatory licenses and permits, leases, contracts, legal agreements, and the proper execution of all operational taxes.
Qualifications
  • Four-year college degree in a business curriculum including intermediate accounting and financial fundamentals.
  • Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Prior experience as a Director of Finance in a high-volume hotel preferred.
  • Leadership mindset and experience with training or mentoring team members.
  • Flexible schedule, as some weekend work is required.
Compensation

$130,000 - $150,000; actual compensation packages depend on skill set, experience, certifications, and location.
